FIREROCK Seeks an Experienced Illustrator

FIREROCK Pass the Spark, a powerful musical story and set of performances that functions as a community activation tool meeting the challenges of the moment - a fossil fuel economy and our changing climate, seeks an experienced illustrator on a contract basis.

  • Work with Creative Team to make a proposal for the needs for illustrations.
  • In consultation with the creative team members, create the illustrations for the six characters of Firerock.
  • Make sure that they are high-res for multiple uses; translation of hand drawn images into vector is required.
  • Help to illustrate the world of Firerock for video backdrops and other elements that describe the scenes, atmospheres, settings, etc.
  • Potentially work with the Creative Team to make a “style-sheet” to use for all marketing and production look and feel elements (fonts, color scheme, etc) - this could also be created by a graphic designer, not the illustrator
  • Pay is hourly but with a cap, based on a jointly agreed proposal and scope of work.
  • Time frame (for this initial scope of work) is January-March or April 2017
  • The project team is based in Santa Fe, NM within the non profit, Littlelgobe (www.littleglobe.org) but the illustrator can be based elsewhere.
